- Born in Cairo.
- Studied piano at the age of seven, with Mr. Salah El-Hussini then later with Anita Fisher.
- Graduated from faculty of law - Cairo university in 1964.
- Appointed at the ministry of culture after graduation, as Secretary of the conservatory's dean Ceasari Nordio till 1967.
- Worked as a film Censor at the Film Censorship Department till 1986, he quit to devote himself to composing music.
- Prepared and presented programs - in English- on classical music for the European local radio from 1967 and for 30 years.
- Studied electronic music from 1980 to 1984.
- Obtained a certificate of appreciation of the Ministry Of Information's second festival in1985.
- Got the corresponding membership of the International Music Theater committee (Munich) 1995-1996.
- Won the grand prix and gold medal in the U.R.T.I (France) 1996 International competition for his Music & program "places of silence".
- Won Talaat Harb medal in the Cairo International Film Festival in 1996 for his contributions to film soundtracks.
- Lecturer on music appreciation from 1998-2005. For the Institute of African Media.
- Wrote many music critics and music articles in many local and global newspapers and magazines.
- Participated as a member of international Arbitration and jury Committees, for Music and singing International competitions.
- From 2002 till 2011 worked as consultant to the International Music Center.
- Member of the, music, singing and ballet department at the Supreme council of culture.
- Member of the Board Council of the National Cultural Center "Cairo Opera House".
- Wrote Soundtracks for several documentaries and animated movies and won certificate of appreciation and prizes, He also adapted music for many Egyptian movies.
- Wrote several music works for Cairo Opera Ballet" Modern Dance Theater Company", such as " Elephants Hide to Die" " The Mummy" The Night Of Counting The Years – Desert of Shady Abd-Elsalam" " Secrets of Samarkand" " The Wardrobe" and many others.
- Wrote many short compositions for piano, his works varies between modern classical, experimental and electronic music.
