The work behind the work.
I'm Tarek Sharara — an independent advisor and speaker. My subject is the gap between what organisations intend and what they actually do.
Who I am
What I do, in one paragraph
I work with leaders and teams on leadership, operations, and how people work together — and I speak and write about how organisations get better at execution. That means helping people see their own situation more clearly: where direction is vague, where ownership is blurry, where a process quietly stopped serving the work, and where a hard conversation is being postponed.
I work independently, on purpose. It keeps the advice honest: I have no product to place, no larger engagement to sell into, and no reason to tell you anything other than what I actually think.
Beliefs
A few things I believe
- Organisations rarely struggle because people don't care. They struggle because caring isn't organised.
- Most "people problems" turn out to be clarity problems wearing a disguise.
- Execution is a culture before it is a process. Fix the culture of follow-through and the process fixes itself.
- A leader's real strategy is visible in their calendar, not their slides.
- Plain language is an act of respect — for your people and for the truth.
Honesty
What I'm not
I'm not a motivational act, and I don't sell a trademarked framework with a pyramid diagram. I don't promise transformation, and I won't pretend complicated things are simple. What I offer is a clear outside perspective, questions that go somewhere, and a straightforward account of what I'd do in your position — and why.
If that sounds useful, the next step is simple: tell me what's on your mind.
